Notes: Engraved to the top plate 'H.M. Govt". In the early years of WW2, a campaign via posters and press adverts was launched asking for cameras to be donated/later impounded. It is thought that initially the H.M/ Govt/ and WD stamps were used until and later replaced by more specific names or symbols, as to which service the camera was allocated; RAF or Royal Navy.
