Selling with Flints couldn't be easier and the first step to selling your item at one of our auctions is to receive a free valuation from one of our valuers. Once you have received your estimate, and if you are happy with it, our team will help you to consign your item to the next appropriate auction.
The fastest and easiest way to receive your estimate is to use our online valuation form here. To help us give you the best possible advice, please include clear photographs, measurements and a brief description listing any important features, provenance or other key information.
Our valuers deal with all manner of antiques, collectables, fine and decorative art - and of course cameras and scientific instruments. For a full list of the categories we sell, please visit our department's page here.
We suggest that you submit a small sample of the collection through our online valuation portal and mention that these are part of a larger collection.
Alternatively, if you wish to submit a large number of photographs, we recommend using WeTransfer and sending them to info@flintsauctions.com. Please use the 'Message' section on WeTransfer to enter your name, phone number and email address.
One of our values should be in contact with you within a couple of days, usually by email. Sometimes, items require further information or discussion, we may contact you by telephone.
NO!
We can't emphasise this enough to our clients as this can dramatically de-value your item(s). Microscopes are an object with deal with on a regular basis and if you clean and polish the brass so you can see your face it in, you will be removing around 50-70% of the value of the item.
Some objects such as lenses can and should be cleaned prior to sale, however, our specialist valuer would be able to advise upon this.
