A Fine Silver Plate Telescopic Ear Trumpet
English, c.1860, seven drawer trumpet in elecroplated copper and nickel silver, with vulcanite ear piece, egraved ' Thos B Holy NORTON HOUSE Sheffield', 60cm extended.
Note: The owner was Thomas Beard Holy (1798-1867), whose grandfather had made a fortune in Sheffield as a button maker.
Condition report: excellent condition, copper only visable internally, slight wear to plate on some nickel silver knurling, otherwise very good, all drawers nice and tight.
