Early 20th century, an oval nickel plate case containing a chloroform drip bottle, mask and gauze, mouth gag and forceps, instruments unsigned in nickel plate.
Provenance: Used by the vendor's grandfather, a surgeon who went to work in Africa in 1911, later served as Director of Public Health in Accra and Deputy Director of Public Health in the Gold Coast.
