C.1850, of cupboard form, in mahogany with campaign style brass handles, each door housing a gallery of velvet lined fitted compartments with six bottles, main body with a gallery of five bottles, and an arrangement of six drawers below, housing scales, apothecary weights, further bottles and jars in fitted compartments, glass pestle and mortar and other accessories, all thus far described mounted on a large single drawer containing ointment jars, a pharmaceutical measure, a pewter funnel and other items including some records of prescriptions dated July 21st 1872, to the rear of the cabinet a sliding drawer, secured by an internal bolt, reveals a further gallery of five large bottles, virtually all the bottle in the whole medicine chest bear the label of V H Watts, or Watts & Son, of Rainham, Kent, dimensions 36.5cm high, 29.5 wide when closed
