A Pair of Cannon-Barrelled Flintlock Pocket Pistols, by Haynes & Co, English, c. 1760, boxlock flintlock action, hinged steel, action to 1/2 and full cock is sound, sliding trigger guard safety at 1/2 cock, walnut stocks profusely inlaid with silver wire, stamped with London proofs to the lower aspect of the lock/barrel interface, o/a length 19.5cm. Note: Proofs indicate manufacture post 1740, it is almost certain that these pistols were made by Francis Haynes, c.1760, before his departure to go and work as an armourer in Minorca 1763
