An Exceptionl & Large Model of An Australian Gold Mine Stamp Mill

Australian, c.1890, signed to the stamp mill casting 'IVANHOE GOLD CORPORATION FOUNDRY' with two stamp mills fed by a single metal lined hopper at the rear, each stamp driven by cams of a central driveshaft, driven by leather belts from a smaller driveshaft below, each belt with a ratcheted tensioner,

Footnotes: The Ivanhoe Gold Corporation Limited was registered in 1897 and dissolved in 1948, it operated in Western Australia
