English, c.1880, engraved around the dial 'Current Meter, ELLIOT BROTHERS 50 Strand London' the meter has a circular brass dial, marked 0-250 feet on the outside with a pointer at the bottom, on the right hand side is a metal propeller, in original French polished mahogany case
