Photographs of The Construction of Royal Albert Bridge Saltash
Two framed and glazed prints showing the erection of the bridge. 1 dated 1854 is an illustration, the other is a later print of an image from 1857 showing the main span being positioned.
The Royal Albert Bridge was designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel. Surveyed in 1848, construction began 1854. The bridge was opened by Prince Albert in 1859.
