Zeiss Jena on a circular brass foot with single side support plano-concave mirror in articulated arm, wheel of stops to underside of stage, fine focus screw to rear of limb, with push pull focus to body tube, non RMS threaded objective and single eyepiece, later painted in black, microscope 28cm tall
