Sir Peter Chalmers Mitchell CBE FRS FZS (23 November 1864 – 2 July 1945) was a Scottish zoologist known for his significant role as the Secretary of the Zoological Society of London from 1903 to 1935. In this capacity, he was responsible for shaping the policies of the Zoological Gardens of London and is credited with the establishment of the world's inaugural open zoological park, ZSL Whipsnade Zoo.
