English, dated 1931, by Gaskill & Chambers, Birmingham, each engraved 'LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL, CHECKPUMP, SERIAL NUMBER 227' with calibration standard stamps on a soft solder spot below the rim on each, constructed of copper with brass bindings, the 6 measures engraved with the following capacities HALF GALLON, ONE GALLON, TWO GALLON, and THREE GALLON, FOUR GALLON & FIVE GALLON in 2 large oak travel cases with large brass plaques that reads 'LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL, PETROL MEASURES', iron handles to the sides, case width 65cm & 75cm
